Why we won't honor Satan on Oct 31

Most of you who come to this website do not keep Halloween, I’m pretty sure.But others are new and are not sure if they should or not, or if there’s any harm in it.  It’s to you that I address this blog

I’ve spoken and written about Halloween several times. Just write in the Search bar of this website – Halloween-- and you’ll see the other sermons and blogs on it.  This also applies to “All Saints Day” that many countries observe on Nov. 1.

We’re in the season now when most of the movies being shown on TV are of demons, vampires, chain saw massacres everything ungodly. To watch these, to participate in any way, is honoring Satan.  No thank you.  I hope you understand; there can be no ambiguity in this. I strongly urge you NOT to involve yourself in any Halloween decorating. Do not put up images of ghosts, demons, scary people or anything to do with this evil time.

Even adults now have Halloween parties, and usually dress up in ungodly and often immoral garb. God’s children have no part in this. Don’t do it. God’s children do not participate in the world’s pagan-originated holidays. We just don’t.

God’s TRUE children will have no part of HALLOWEEN (All Hallow’s Eve).

If you have never done so, just do a Google search on “Origin of Halloween” and see what pops up on your screen within 2 seconds.  God’s children – hopefully including you – want nothing to do with this dark and evil time.

Make no mistake about it:  when you HELP your children dress up – usually like monsters and horrifying apparitions of bloody violence and evil – you are not worshiping the one true living God, that’s for sure.  I’ll cut to the chase:

• We’re warned by Christ himself in Revelation 18:4-6 to come out of this world’s Babylon of confusion and devil worship – or also participate in its horrifying punishments when God’s wrath is meted out on unbelievers of this world before Christ returns. When we participate in Halloween, we’re honoring Satan. I want no part of it and I hope readers of my blogs understand.

• Even if your church, your children and others do something safe, and local, and dress up in Disney movie characters, or even Bible characters, if you’re doing this on this date, at this time… God’s not fooled. Just come out of Babylon. Don’t be part of it. 

We don’t even answer the door or don’t give out any treats, which are presented as a threat:  “Trick or treat!”  We usually just close the curtains, turn out most of the lights and do something else. 

• Do your own research. Don’t just take my word for it.

But let’s do see what God’s word says.  Here’s one of many.  Look at what Paul said to the Corinthians.

1 Corinthians 10:20-22 --- “Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?”

And here’s the warning from God about the fall of this world’s modern Babylon just before our Redeemer returns to take control of this planet:

Revelation 18:1-6    “After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."

4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come OUT of her, MY PEOPLE, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her”

Pretty clear, isn’t it?  Will you join me in having NOTHING to do with this undiluted evil time?
