Halloween. Believers won’t participate!

This blog is on a perennial topic of the worst time of the year, as far as I’m concerned.  I’ve just given several sermons about Satan and demons and how we will demolish them in Christ.  Halloween is all about the dark forces of evil - and a time when witches and Satanists the world over have a hey-day.  Children of God:  do NOT participate in it. Do NOT let your children participate. You the adult parents or guardians will be the ones held responsible.

You can do your own quick search on this site. Just go to the Search bar on the top right, click on it, and then when the larger search bar comes up, write “Halloween”. I have several blogs or even parts of sermons on this.

Or you can Google “Halloween’s origins” and see for yourself how this time has nothing to do with God or godliness. Halloween is not good. It’s not of God. Certainly anything to do with witchcraft, symbols of black and dark evil (bats, black cats, witches, sorcerers, demons, demonic symbolisms, murder, bloodshed, axes in people’s heads, etc. etc.) are outright condemned by God Almighty.

And what do we find on TV now for weeks before Halloween? Non-stop horror films, scary films, bloodshed, demonism and everything UNGODLY is mostly what’s on.

Halloween is not among God’s holy days, of course. It can’t be pleasing to God. It can’t be pleasing to God’s children. It’s a night of darkness mostly. Maybe this blog is too late for some of you, but I hope you will not participate next year and onwards, after that.

Does Halloween lead your children to delight in God and to praise and serve Him? Of course not. Does Halloween lead you and your children to love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and being and to love one another as your own self?   Of course not. Then why on earth would you participate in it? Don’t. Please don’t.

Here are some quick scriptures to get you grounded again if you were going to participate. Click on “continue reading” to see some scriptures on this.

Regarding being like the world ruled by the old pagan ways of Babylon….

Revelation 18:4-5   “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "COME OUT OF HER, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.”

Our God – our heavenly Father – tells us NOT to follow the pagan customs of those around us! Read it for yourself:

Deuteronomy 12:30-32 “Do take heed to yourself that you are NOT ENSARED to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' 31 You shall NOT worship YHVH your God in that way; for every abomination to YHVH WHICH HE HATES they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

For every single day of the year, 24 hours a day, what are we to be focused on? See Philippians 4:8. NONE of these are found in Halloween observance.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever things are TRUE, whatever things are NOBLE, whatever things are just, whatever things are PURE, whatever things are LOVELY, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.”

Psalm 34:14 – “DEPART from evil, do what is GOOD; Seek PEACE and pursue it.”

I ask you to do your OWN research into Halloween’s pagan roots and obvious evil focus. And can you really see Yeshua dressed up in demonic garb leading a bunch of children to trick or treat? Of course not.

Let me add this much: you’re still participating even if you have your children dressed up as Bible characters. You can’t mix and match. That’s perhaps even worse yet!

1 Corinthians 10:21-22

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?

COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, children of the Lord. Have no association or participation with evil days and night like Halloween.  You can use our Search feature on this site to find more detailed articles about the evil, sordid and dark past of Halloween.
