We go to the feast days in the Fall, but are we excited about the final four holy days? WHY and HOW did we lose our first excitement and how do we get it back?

The Bible has a LOT to say about setting stumbling blocks in front of brethren. We know God teaches us to accept, love, help, encourage one another. But sometimes – we may be setting out stumbling blocks for our brothers and sisters and others and not even be as aware of it as we should be. So it’s time to have a sermon on it. The Bible has a LOT to say about stumbling blocks. This was originally going to be a “blog” – but there is so much in the Bible about it, that I morphed it into this sermon or teaching

This sermon will surprise many of you. Most of you reading this were probably baptized (meaning “immersed”) as Matthew 28:19 says – “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

We happily receive God’s grace and favor over our sins but how good are we at extending God’s hope, love, and favor to others, especially those with sinful pasts or who struggle spiritually? Do we take them “under our wing” and encourage them, giving them HOPE – or gossip about them? I believe this is a vitally important topic for God’s children.
