When something bad is done to you, or said about you or against you, and it upsets and offends you, what does Jesus say you and I should do? Or if, instead of you being the one offended, YOU offend or sin against someone else who is now upset with you, what should you do, according to Jesus the Christ?

Does the parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16 show that when we die we either instantly go to heaven – or instantly, if we were bad, go to suffer eternally in hell fire? Did the beggar go to heaven when he died? Be sure you’re understanding this important parable correctly. Eph 4:32; Col 3:13 Key to Our Own Forgiveness This is a new and updated version of the sermon on the same topic, but different material today, than the one I gave in 2008. Salvation at its core is about forgiveness and the new life we have in Christ. True forgiveness – at least the way Christ forgives us – is very hard. Truly forgiving others gives the forgiven one and the one doing the forgiving a new lease on life plus many blessings. But without it, we’re not going to be forgiven either. We can’t forgive the consequences of sin, but we can release any resentment, hate, bitterness and lack of love for what others have done to us or we to them. This is a very, very important topic

Some believe we are to pray directly only to God the Father and never to Jesus Christ. If you believe that, or if that is your practice – not to ever pray to Jesus -- I encourage you to listen to this teaching.
