This is a 2-part sermon series on tithing. It won’t be exactly as you’ve always heard, but based solely on scripture. Is tithing in the Old covenant different from supporting God’s work in the new covenant? What are the laws of tithing in the old covenant? To whom did they tithe? What did God require Israelites to tithe on? A lot is being said about tithing that simply is not found in scripture, but there is also a lot that scripture has to say about tithing.

The Bible has a LOT to say about setting stumbling blocks in front of brethren. We know God teaches us to accept, love, help, encourage one another. But sometimes – we may be setting out stumbling blocks for our brothers and sisters and others and not even be as aware of it as we should be. So it’s time to have a sermon on it. The Bible has a LOT to say about stumbling blocks. This was originally going to be a “blog” – but there is so much in the Bible about it, that I morphed it into this sermon or teaching

End-time believers are described as keeping God’s commandments (Rev. 12:17; 14:12). And yet the last church of Rev 3 is lukewarm about everything of God. Let’s not be lukewarm about keeping sabbath holy. It’s our DATE with our King! In part 1 we lay the foundation of the origin of the 7th day sabbath, How IMPORTANT this day is to God. God’s laws about it, and meaning of the Hebrew words in the 4th commandment and much more.

This sermon will surprise many of you. Most of you reading this were probably baptized (meaning “immersed”) as Matthew 28:19 says – “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

You know of the fruit of God’s spirit. Today’s focus is on HOW we gain the fruit of God’s indwelling Holy Spirit. We also discuss what IS the Holy Spirit.
