Is it true that once we say the “magic words” of accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior and repent of our sins, that our eternal salvation is forever guaranteed and we can never lose it, no matter what we do afterwards? Is that true? This sermon will debunk that dangerous teaching.

Do you struggle a lot with trying to be perfectly righteous? In fact, most of us repent daily for where we’ve failed! Do you seek to eventually attain to God’s goodness and character – but that goal seems unattained so far? We will not ever be able ourselves to be righteous enough, even with God’s spirit. It could well be that we are seeking God’s righteousness entirely the wrong way, by our own deeds and works of keeping God’s law. This is such a vital topic to understand.
