This sermon will surprise you as we so often use the names of pagan gods and goddesses in our language – often without even realizing it. I list many common everyday words we use that are names of pagan gods. You’ll probably be surprised. So what are we to do? Some are insisting believers should eradicate all such words from their vocabulary. Is that even possible? What did Yeshua do? What does scripture say and do on the subject? How will our Father in heaven solve this problem? He has a plan. Find out what it is.

Between Passover and Shavuot, or Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), YHVH brought Israel out of Egypt and brought them into a wilderness, where He gave them his Law and his teachings. They remained in that wilderness for 40 years. This teaching connects how “our wilderness time” IS connected to Pentecost. Some of you feel like you’re in a desert, a wilderness time of your lives. This sermon will encourage you and you’ll see how so many of the great men and women of scripture spent considerable time in the wilderness, where they grew and were prepared for greater deeds to come. WE are in our wilderness time right now. This sermon was originally given in June, 2012, after Pentecost (Shavuot) of that year. This time we’re playing it before Pentecost.

In the time between the first Passover and Pentecost, YHVH gushed water from the Rock after it was smitten. Forty years later, He does it again but this time Moses is told to SPEAK to the Rock. Why the difference? Why were Israel’s elders on the rock with Moses the first time, and not the second time? Why did Moses’ disbelief in this instance keep him from entering the Promised Land? And what does all this have to do with us today? Originally posted in 2014, this timeless message will make you ponder a lot of things in your relationship with our Father and Yeshua.

Given originally in 2014, this message is timeless, especially if you focus on the last half of the sermon. Three days and 3 night after Christ’s death, he rose again, and then ascended to heaven “on the first of the weeks" after Yeshua's crucifixion. Our Messiah ascended as the Wavesheaf offering, sanctifying the rest of the harvest of souls so that WE could be accepted by Father. Wavesheaf day is not a holyday, but IS a significant day. Learn about the exciting meaning of Wavesheaf day. Also learn exactly when Yeshua's (Jesus) resurrection took place. Any modern dates given in this message applied to 2014, but you’ll get the important points. Philip

This is the Passover service for those of you wishing to have one conducted for you, or if you need some notes to guide you. You will find the transcript and summary here. The first 2 pages are the instructions of how to set up a local Passover service. Then pages 3-12 are the actual transcript of the service in case the local host would like to read and conduct the service himself. Have a solemnly joyful and meaningful Passover and may our Father's Spirit be with you. And praise the love of our father and of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (or Yeshua, his Hebrew name). This is not a traditional Jewish Seder service, but a Christian Passover using footwashing and the emblems of the matzah and wine, and Yeshua's last words.

Yes, put out the physical leaven before Passover. But are we AS diligent in searching out the SPIRITUAL leaven in our hearts? I refer to the more serious leaven of hidden sins, secret sins, bad habits that don’t glorify God and areas of our lives where we need to change? Is a FAST in order to help us do a deep spiritual cleansing and spiritual deleavening? In what areas of our lives do we need to make changes? Where do we need overcoming to take place? Remember to BE ready for Passover, examine ourselves and take the Passover joyfully in a worthy manner. This sermon will help you do that.
