Remember Me

Welcome to Light on the Rock

We’re well into the final four holydays of the 7th month now. Please feel free to search through Sept-October messages of previous years and you’ll find lots of timeless sermons and blogs.  I’ve reposted the series from 2013 on “Our Breathtaking Destiny – a truth many are missing. We certainly are much, much closer now to the clouds and sky rolling back like a scroll, and revealing our King of Kings and our Beloved Savior.  Hasten the day, Father, that you send back our Redeemer and let’s begin the 1000-year reign here on earth

The holydays, which begin in the Spring, reveal His wonderful plan of salvation, where eventually almost all will be saved. Some die-hard rebels will be burned up after a brief time period after the Millennium. Just see Revelation 20-22, but then YHVH creates the new heavens and new earth. A new universe!  Some believe this new universe will be composed entirely of spirit – so there will never be any decay, rust, destruction or death when that happens.  SO much to talk about!

You all have a WONDERFUL and safe Feast of Tabernacles and then the 8th day – picturing the all new beginnings!  Shalom, peace and blessings from our Father and Saviour to you all.

Paul told Timothy that the House of God, the Temple, is the church – the called-out ones. In this message learn what responsibilities and opportunities it brings to be the dwelling place of God’s presence. Are our lives His House of Prayer? Being dedicated and consecrated for sacrifice, prayer and worship. Temples and threshing floors. When God’s temple needs cleansing. All this and more.

Why do we “go to church services” or to the Feast? This sermon explores the word “worship”. What did that word mean in the original Hebrew and Greek? Does our concept of “worship” in English match what the original Hebrew and Greek referred to? What did Yeshua mean when he said we would worship God “in spirit and truth”? Do you and I really worship? We could be worshiping in vain, according to our Savior. Let’s worship correctly. This message explains how and why.

Passage: Psalm 52:12
Duration: 1 hr 19 mins 36 secs
King David recorded his prayer of repentance for us and in Psalm 51:12 asks for “the joy of Your Salvation” to be restored to him, after he had killed Uriah and committed adultery with Uriah’s wife. Are you and I living in the sheer joy of our Father’s salvation? Why do so many of God’s children seem so dour and joyless about the Almighty’s salvation? What is robbing us of our joy of salvation? How do we get that joy in the first place, or have it restored – if we’ve lost it? Whose joy is it? But we all sin – so how can we have any joy of being saved? You’ll find all this and more keys in this latest message about experiencing the wonderful joy of our Creator’s salvation.

We know Abba, our heavenly Father, is love personified. This sermon continues that theme (hear the previous sermon first) but now we focus on the question: when we sin, does God still love us? Or do we fall out of His love when we sin? Does God really not hear sinners? If not, how would they ever repent? Did Yeshua heal sinners? Can we come to God when we’ve failed to “measure up”? We hope this message gives you a lot to think about as we grow in our relationship with our Father and Savior.

Most people would probably admit they think of Yeshua (Jesus) as the loving, kind, gentle part of the Godhead but that God the Father seems distant, harsh or unknowable. Learn the truth about Almighty God in the Highest who is also our dear heavenly Daddy – or Abba in Hebrew. Many of us had very imperfect human fathers and that may be affecting how we think of “God the Father”. Our prayer is that this sermon will help you begin to have great joy in Abba’s presence and begin to feel his love for you. God is love. He can’t stop being what He is. We love him because He first loved us. And perfect love casts out fear. Praise be to our Abba.

Your eternity could rest on learning this topic well. It is more blessed to give than receive, but we’re also called to actively take hold of what our Father is sending us. Our Father is the greatest giver of all, but if we don’t learn to receive Him and His gifts, including the gift of His Son, the gift of the Holy Spirit and the dozens of other gifts he showers on us, we’re blocking His generosity and possibly even insulting Him. (Note: the last 3 minutes were cut off when my battery on the mic died. So please check the notes for the final page of what was cut off.) What are some of God’s “gifts” he wants us to receive? Why do some of us refuse to receive? How do we learn to become better at receiving the things from God?

In the time between the first Passover and Pentecost, YHVH gushed water from the Rock after it was smitten. Forty years later, He does it again but this time Moses is told to SPEAK to the Rock. Why the difference? Why were Israel’s elders on the rock with Moses the first time, and not the second time? Why did Moses’ disbelief in this instance keep him from entering the Promised Land? And what does all this have to do with us today?

This message is not only about Yeshua's blood, but also about Father's love, whose idea it was to find a way to wash away ALL our sins in the blood of His Word, who became flesh - Yeshua (Jesus). You'll appreciate the crimson thread of the promise of the blood of Christ woven through scripture. You'll need the printed notes to see the diagrams, signs and photo as you hear the audio. I'm sorry I spoke so fast to get thru it all. See what the camp of Israel looked like from the air. Hear something intriguing about Golgotha. Be inspired by the "hidden-in-plain sight" message the pagan Pilate put over the head of our Messiah. . . and much, much more. Embrace Father's love. Receive our Savior's loving sacrifice, amen.

This 2-part sermon is to help us be mentally and spiritually ready to take the Passover service. We discuss the 2 sides of Passover: the incredible love of God as well as the incredible severity of God (Romans 11:22). Why does it take so much innocent blood to be shed in order to forgive sin? We explain. In Part 1 - we also introduce the beginning of "the crimson thread" throughout scripture pointing to the coming Messiah. For example, why did Isaac carry the wood to his own sacrifice? When was our Savior sacrificed - at least in God's mind? Also we go in depth into the many things our dear Father provides for us through the blood of His Son, the Christ (it's much, much more than just being forgiven of our sins). This sermon ends with us beginning to explore the nuances of Exodus 12. (To be continued in part 2).

This brand new message is one of my most important ones I've ever done. After hearing it, you will feel profound joy and want to shout out praises to our High Priest and King for what He is doing. We go through key understandings from Hebrews and Exodus 28, the Priest chapter - but combine it with New Covenant understanding to bring glory to Yeshua, our High Priest. We also delve deeply into the profound concepts of being "in Him", which make the New Covenant possible. I highly recommend this study.

When our beloved pet dies, will we ever see it again? Is it up in heaven, as some now believe? What is mankind? What is an animal? WHY does all this even matter? It matters a lot. Are animals and humans the same in God's eyes? And what's the place and future for man and animals in scripture? Are there animals in heaven? Does God care about animals? All this and much more...

It's Christmas season again. Most of you who come to this site realize Christmas has very pagan roots, long before Christ was born. But is it OK with God for us to observe Christmas with its pagan roots, as long as we do it unto Christ, and in our hearts know we're worshiping HIM, and not the pagan gods? Does it matter, in that case? What does YHVH say about that? What did Paul and Yeshua teach about that? And how should we deal with all the issues that come up in this season - the issue of gift giving, Christmas parties and so on.

Whether you're male or female being called by God, you need to hear this teaching. After hearing this message, we pray you'll profoundly appreciate more than you ever have before, your high calling to possibly be a part of the Bride of Christ. We answer: Does the Bible really mention a Bride for Christ? WHO is that Bride? Is it a group of people, or the city of Jerusalem, or both? Is it the nation of Israel or the church, or both? Will our Messiah have one wife, or several? Where is the wedding? How does Scripture describe the Bride? Are YOU confident about being the Bride of the Son of God? How do you think Christ feels about His Bride - and you? Where do Song of Solomon and Proverbs 31 fit in? You'll find all that and more in this message.

Are you really a true disciple of Christ? How would you find others? The Bible gives at least 7 identifying signs. Yeshua came to live and die for all mankind, of course - but he also came to prepare disciples. Disciples who would be just like Him and change the world. Learn how Christ continues calling and grooming disciples - and how to identify who they are - in this 21st century. (This is a completely new sermon, though I gave one with a similar title in June 2004.)

Why does Yehoweh allow even His own called-out children to go through so much pain and suffering? We are referring to mental anguish and suffering and not just physical pain. Why do so many suffer unhealed illness, or prolonged unemployment or year after year of unending physical pain? Why do so many innocent children also suffer, especially among the family of God? Abba is able to remove suffering - so why doesn't He do so, more often than He does? What's the final purpose, the point of prolonged pain and suffering? We hope this will be a life-changing message for you to bring you peace and joy even in your pain.

This is the conclusion to Five women who were vital parts in the Messianic lineage of Yeshua, our king of Kings. The Davidic-Messianic line will indeed change the world. Glean some fascinating insights into each of these women and learn lessons that can change your life as well. (Note there are other sermons about and for women you can find in 2005 in the months of February, April and September 2005). Whether Gentile or Israelite, all of these women needed God’s grace – but all five women helped change the world.

The Messiah changed the world. Only five women, (5 the number of grace) are listed by name or referred to, in Matthew’s lineage of Yeshua, our Savior. Why were these five chosen? And why were most of them Gentile? Why couldn’t five “pristine” women who were more ‘righteous’ be chosen? What role did each of these women play in the Royal family tree? Caution: this and the next sermon are fairly graphic, but nothing is said that the Bible doesn’t say. Hear/read about these women who changed the world and the lessons they bring to all of us.

This message goes way beyond my blog about the "Hidden Leaven". Your home may be perfectly deleavened but could we be missing the biggest leaven still lurking in our more important house? Have you and I really deleavened 100%? Probably not. This heart-felt sermon is not the standard message about deleavening. Topics include: how we all protect and retain certain "leaven" in our lives; deleavening of the true leaven must be 100% or we're still leavened; who does the true deleavening; total absolute surrender of everything we are and have been - and much more.

Could paganism be part of your worship without you even realizing it? Paganism has infiltrated our conversations, our language and our worship. Does it matter to Yehovah? If we know something we're involved in has pagan roots, isn't it OK as long as we "know in our hearts" that we're really worshiping the true God? What about Christmas? If we "keep Christ in Christmas", doesn't that make it OK? Read what Yehovah says. Find out.

I consider this to be one of the most important topics to understand in our lives as chosen children of YHVH. After we repent, accept Yeshua's sacrifice and have our sins forgiven, then what? How do we ever become righteous enough to be worthy of the Kingdom of God? Hear about the seldom discussed gift our Father offers us by faith that will see us to perfection at the resurrection. That and so much more are discussed.
